QR codes for lost pets.

We love our pets almost like family members, in most cases the loss of a pet would be greatly mourned. Our dogs and cats are valuable to us for all different kinds of reasons. There's one kind of value which we can not put a price on and that is the mutual love which we give and receive with our pets. Additionally there may be a monetary value for specific breeds of animal. Pets can be lost, or even stolen by criminals. Mostly our pets seem to wander off when they disappear. How can we recover our lost pets? Flyers made on a copier are a familiar way to get the word out and often have a photo and a phone number. However, a color photo of a pet is turned into a black and white copy and will lose shading unless a half-tone image is made on a computer first.

Would it be easier for people to see your lost pet in full color? Or even to see a short movie of your pet from different angles? Of course it would be better to see a multimedia movie type of presentation to know what the lost pet looks and acts like. You need to put a QR code on the flyer next to the not so great black and white image. Keep using the phone number and photo, use a text description, but put a QR code on the flyer and you can have an abundance of complete information to help return your lost pet. Link a URL in the QR code to a YouTube movie, go to your private web page, or even link to your favorite pet photos which have been posted on your Facebook account. With a little bit of creative problem solving in this situation it would be possible to spread the word around town quite quickly. And your pet could be back with you before you know it!

For the pet which is picked up before your flyers hit the streets, a metal tag with a QR code on the collar will help someone contact you right away. QR codes don't have to go to a web page, they can send an SMS text message right to your phone. Or a QR code can dial your number and call you when someone snaps the QR code collar tag. It's one of those things you can choose what you want. A QR code can hold enough plain text to give your address, the name of the pet, your phone number, and even any reward you might have as a standing offer. Our pets are so important to us that it would be worth it to use OrangeQR.Com to create a trackable QR code so you know when and where the code was scanned.
